Antibodies for GTP-bound G Proteins

G Proteins are GTP/GDP-binding proteins. They are activated by the cell surface receptors (GPCR) and modulate the events of the downstream effectors. They can bind GTP, hydrolyze GTP, and switch between active GTP-bound state and inactive GDP-bound state. They have an intrinsic GTPase activity that hydrolyzes GTP to GDP, inactivating the G proteins. Our Mouse Monoclonal Antibodies for GTP-bound G Proteins only recognize the active GTP-bound configuration, not inactive GDP-bound state.
